Tech Tip of the Day:

Try not to run
your vehicle until your Fuel Light comes on (or down to extreme empty).
This will reduce the life of your fuel pump. Gasoline in the tank acts
as a lubricant for the internal parts of the fuel pump, and it also
cools the pump when submerged in the fuel (at over 1/4 tank).

As well, when you run your vehicle with very little fuel, it leaves the
fuel pump no choice but to take in any dirt that might be sitting at
the bottom of the fuel tank.

Here is a Diagram showing the fuel pump being removed from the tank to give you a visual.

Happy Motoring!
