Family safety - Ford Explorer rear seat belts

Surprisingly, occupants who do not wear the seat belts still exists. In fact, only 60% of passengers sitting in the rear seats of vehicles wear their seat belt. We know at times, it's not easy to have a child wear their seat belt mainly because it's uncomfortable... At most times, you see children (and even adults) putting the diagonal strap behind them for comfort reasons.
Ford has found a way to not only protect the elderly and children who sit in the back of the all new Explorer, but also have added comfort padding to the seat belt straps. These are the all new inflatable seat belts, which inflate to airbags in the event of an accident. Considering they have airbags built into them, the added padding adds comfort.
